Description:

A figure rests alone on the beach beneath an overhanging tree. The layers of salt respond to the light: in soft daylight the painting stays pale and hazy, in other light it deepens into blue-green. Painted with hand-ground pigments in linseed oil and finished with fine layers of salt bound in a medium of the artist’s own making.

In changing light, the same painting as it appears in different light, from pale to deep blue-green. Colours adjusted to match how the painting appears.
