Description:

Two women sit at either end of a canapé, upholstered in yellow, its pale frame curving above a dark floor. On the left, a woman with long fair hair, a glass in her hand, has tucked her bare feet beneath a pale blue skirt and looks across at the other. On the right, a woman with long dark hair sits with her knees drawn up, her eyes on something in her hands. Between them, their feet almost meet.

Salt, bound in a medium of the artist's own making, gives the surface its texture, from the yellow upholstery to the dark floor.
